Advice for New Graduate Students

Feeling a little lost by now? Perhaps you suffer from the impostor syndrome. Maybe you need a little help coping with demands on your time. If you are struggling with these or other difficulties, be assured that you are not alone.

An Open Letter to New Graduate Students by Brian Croxall, CLIR Postdoctoral Fellow and Emerging Technologies Librarian at Emory University, aims primarily at full-time, Ph.D. candidates, but much of the information will prove useful for part-time graduate students as well.

Now that the Fall term is well under way, what should be added? How would you write your own letter to new or prospective graduate students?
